About Me

I am a caring, empathetic and client focused Psychologist. If you choose to work with me as a client, I will build a strong therapeutic alliance with you and work collaboratively. Throughout our sessions I will maintain a non-judgmental, warm and personable approach, practicing unconditional positive regard. I will help you to successfully achieve your treatment goals, develop strategies to manage challenges and achieve/sustain social and emotional well-being.

In my previous position, I have learned that it is important to help clients prevent premature termination of therapy (before all goals of therapy are achieved and the necessary work is done). Research indicates that 50% of clients will require 12 to 18 sessions on average to gain significant change,  reduction of symptoms and maintain this at 6 and 12 month follow up. The next 50% of clients require 18+ sessions. I know budgets can be tight and my aim is to work with the least amount of sessions necessary.

Training and Professional Development

Prior to commencing my career in Psychology, I have held various positions within both Australia and Germany. I have worked in fast paced emergency departments, supporting frontline doctors with clinical pathology analyses and played a vital role in the career progression and development of businesses.

The exposure to psychology throughout the healthcare sector inspired me to pursue a degree and employment in psychology. I completed my Bachelor of Psychology degree with honours. My honours thesis focused on temporal recalibration. I explored the perceptual realignment of asynchronous signals, to contribute to future research of auditory hallucinations.

Thereafter, I completed 2 years of postgraduate training.

I am committed to develop professionally in pursuance of best therapy outcomes.
